This waiver be completed prior to any Dyno Services.

At Mr. Mechanic Auto Service Center, we understand that modifying vehicles and putting excessive stress on a vehicle can cause damage or failure. While this can be devastating, we are not held responsible for any such damage or failure to a vehicle that is being put on the chassis dyno. You must fill out and sign a waiver prior to any dyno rental or tuning services using our Dynojet Dyno.

Fees:

Hourly Dyno Rental

• Dyno Rental $150.00 per hour. Includes 1 hookup and removal. If car needs to be unstrapped and re-strapped, it will be an additional $50 per occurrence.

4 Hour Dyno Rental

• Dyno Rental $550 for a 4 hour rental. Includes 1 hookup and removal. If car needs to be unstrapped and re-strapped, it will be an additional $50 per occurrence. $150 per hour additional over 4 hours.

8 Hour Dyno Rental

• $1000 Full Day Dyno Rental (8 hours). Includes 1 hookup and removal. If car needs to be unstrapped and re-strapped, it will be an additional $50 per occurrence.

Power & Torque Test - 2 Pulls

• $150 - 2 pulls on our Dynojet Chassis Dyno to determine power and torque. No tuning included. 

Dyno Day Tuning Checklist

TUNING DEVICE (if buying a handheld SCT or HP device to keep):

• TUNING DEVICE HAS BEEN UPDATED AND IS WITH YOU IN THE CAR WITH THE OBD-DEVICE CABLE, THE DEVICE TO LAPTOP CABLE AND WIDEBAND TO DEVICE CABLE.

SPARK PLUGS:

• YOU HAVE INSTALLED 8 NEW PLUGS IN THE CAR AND GAPPED THEM ACCORDING TO OUR SPECIFICATIONS. TAKE 4 EXTRA ONES WITH YOU AS WELL AS THE TOOLS NEEDED TO CHANGE THE PLUGS WHILE AT THE DYNO.

TIRES:

• YOUR TIRES ARE IN GOOD CONDITION AND ARE INFLATED TO MANUFACTURERS SPECIFICATIONS.

FUEL:

• YOU HAVE FRESH FUEL IN THE CAR FROM BP,SHELL, SUNOCO OR CHEVRON. YOU HAVETOLD US WHAT OCTANE YOU ARE TUNING WITH.

OCTANER BOOSTERS ARE A NO-NO*

• DO NOT USE ANY OCTANE BOOSTERS OR ADDITIVES UNLESS WE SPECIFICALLY REQUEST THAT YOU DO SO.

Dyno Tuning Waivers in Southfield, MI

Dyno Release Information

• Chassis Dynamometer testing is the most accurate way of determining horsepower and overall drive train performance with an engine in the vehicle. The vehicle being tested must operate at wide-open throttle for 5-10 seconds to perform an accurate sweep. Generally, the dynamometer test is easier on the drive-train than a wide open throttle test on the street.
• As in any performance test, there is the possibility of failure of an engine or drive train component. MR. MECHANIC and it's employees are not responsible for any failure during or after any Chassis Dynamometer test. This includes engine damage, chassis and suspension damage, or drive train components. Engine damage or failure is rare and typically from poor quality parts or poor engine assemble. We reserve the right to refuse to test any vehicle we do not deem fit to test. The release of engine oil or coolant from engine onto dyno floor will result in a minimum of $75.00 to maximum of $500.00 clean up fee.
• Customers are not permitted in the Chassis Dynamometer area while testing is in session unless authorized by our Management. Customer assumes all risk of injury that may occur during testing when standing behind or near vehicle being tested.
• **Custom tuning is a retail product and service that alters your factory PCM/TCM tuning. Mr. Mechanic and it's employees assumes no risk of these PCM alterations.
